I also love Adelaide; it always strikes me as a somewhat boganised version of Perth. Very friendly and nice restaurants but Glenelg must be the only place in Australia where you can still see teenagers in Valiants with fluffy dice doing bog lap circuits of the street at night with stubbies in hand. Not even in Rockingham or Gosnells can we still see this in WA. Perhaps it should be respected as a uniquely surviving otherwise lost aspect of 70's Australian youth culture.
