Guy agreed to buy it, subject to mechanical inspection.

Had another tosser come to look, opens bonnet and (in his most annoying Liverpudlian accent) proclaimed "oooooh, that's a carburettor."

You can easily identify those because it says "Electronic Fuel Injection" in huge letters down the side,
but anyway the car runs on LPG.
In the end, a wholesaler came and offered me $11k, and I got him up to $11.5k.
I rang up a guy who had been interested at a lower price, and said he could have it for the same price, and he still tried to offer me less.
