Whatever you buy will still come with compromises, there is no 1 box ticks all if it needs to be able to fit 2 seats with enough room for shopping that has enough boot space to accommodate something that only a Falcon ute could and where you going to put that funky stuff now?
Surely a dualcab with a canopy covers the seats and shopping with a trailer or your Falcon ute for the big or funky items.
Exactly, however these compromises are not something that I am willing to live with.

As I said, my post was about my experiences with Dual Cab ownership. I posted it up to give some input from first hand experience.

With the dual cab, if we do buy something larger I cannot take the car seats out and fold down the back seats. About 12 months ago, we bought some outdoor bar stools and couldn't get them all in the tub. I grabbed my wagon and folded down the back seats and they fitted easily.

A dual cab canopy is not secure enough for my liking. This is probably a discussion for another time.

For anyone who knows me personally, it is a running joke, I hate towing stuff.

I am not saying that Falcons are better. As I said, I was conveying my experiences and the other cars that I have are Falcons.

What will I buy to replace it? I was hoping for a Ford Everest, but with a 12 to 18 month waiting time I'm not interested.

You never know, the new Ranger may be a less of a compromise in our circumstances and we may well end up in another dual cab.
