The difference between the bi-turbo and V6 is the level of confidence when towing. The bi turbo does the job but the V6 does it more convincingly. Also depends on how often you tow too. Lots of factor play on your mind about it.

I owned a 2015 WK2 Grand Cherokee with the V6 Diesel for years your bang on regarding the Confidence in towing... The GC always felt like it was no fuss at all towing my boat and even a loaded car trailer on a few occasions. No struggle at all. Couple that with great performance unladen. I sold it because Jeep where horrible to deal with when we had our first (and only) warranty issue. What they and the dealer did made me trade it almost immediately. It was that I missed, but now owning the Everest with the V6 it has that same feeling/confidence which is awesome and well worth the extra spend if you do any sort of towing.
