Hi Guys & Girls, I have a BA ute XL, I want to install factory Cruize control on her. I have looked in the workshop manual here, can't even find it listed in the index of the manual. Have any of you done this b4, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Where are you? The PCM normally needs re-configuring by either Ford or an independent expert.

I'm in clayton victoria, I have been researching & learnt a few things, I need to get the Switches on the steering wheel, wiring loom & there are 2 switches on the brake pedal & then get it activated. is there anything else I need ?

A mate with a BA XT egas wagon tried to fit cruise once, put all the wheel and pedal switches in, took to his mechanic to have it activated, no go, took it to Ford, no go either, they reckon someone had replaced one of the control modules at some point which was 'incompatible' and whilst it ran and did everything fine, they couldnt access whatever they needed to activate the cruise.

I’ve heard of that as well. Heinrich Performance were able to sort it.

Gear ratios , diff ratio , tyre size and speedo input type all need to be programmed for cruise to work.
I'm trying to learn it all to put cruise in my patrol once the barra conversion is running. |
