recall for Ford USA.
Ford is recalling 229,929 2004-'07 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey vehicles globally to fix a corrosion problem that prevents the fold-down third-row seats from locking into place. The recall affects only vehicles sold or registered in 20 salt-belt states and the District of Columbia. Ford told Edmunds it is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to the recall. details: http://www.edmunds.com/car-news/ford...n-problem.html

Maybe Ford Australia should recall all the AU and BA falcons for rust in the A pillar, Rust in the Turret etc. Then, they can respray all the AU's with peeling paint jobs?

Ford provide a 5 year perforation corrosion warranty on all new cars. As do most manufacturers in australia. Ba is now about 9-10 years old and au 13-10 years of age. Maybe its time to upgrade to a new falcon. |

you only need a zink bath on the production line,
you'd think it would be manadory.

Mother of God!
Imagine what they'd be like if not Zinc dipped! It'd be the XA-XC coupes all over again.

Give em 10 or 20 years and all car bodies will be of some type of plastic, or plastic composite.
Dunno about carbon fibre, but maybe they can suck all the carbon out of the atmosphere and run it thru a fibratorization machine an 'walla' there ya go. Wonder if Lego will get in on the act.
