Talking Qld hardtops unite

I have a XA GT hardtop and would like to see how many coupes we can get in 1 place. My mate and I go out together and people really look to see an XA GT and a XB GT together but I would like to see a heap together. Maybe go out for a cruz together up to Mount Tamborine or out to the dry dam for lunch or some thing

Sounds like a good idea!

I've got an XA coupe - not a GT though.

Would be keen for a bit of a local cruise rather than a huge run. Unfortunately ive been neglecting my coupe (shame I know) and I'd be hesitant to take it on a big run without a shake down local one first!

Plus im on club rego which hinders it a little.

Anyway - lets see how much interest we get!

Yep, it's on!! 21 - 24th September. There's a couple of threads under VIC/TAS events for details. It'll be huge, possibly the biggest gathering of coupes ever.

Are long wheel-base, 4-door, non-coupes invited?

A big old fairlane will make all your hardtops look better anyways :P

Echucha is on the NSW/VIC border, but on the Victorian side.

Cheers

Would a wagon disgrace the clan? At the very least if one of the coupes breaks down we could put in my boot and take it home...

I think we should really do this... cruises with older cars just don't really happen anymore - everyone seems to be into the plastic stuff.

And it'd be great to get a dozen XA-XCs trundling along the road.

I recon a cruise to Mount Tamborine might be the go. I think a few pics at the top of the mountai over lookin the lookout would be awesome. Then cruise down the other side and check out the Gold Coast. I have spoke to people in my car club and anyone can tag along on on club rego so will work out a date for my next meeting. Any dates to avoid that we should avoid? I am entered at the powercruise so that weekend is out,how about the last weekend in September
