Default Would an FG Inlet Manifold Fit on BF - Any Benfits?

Hi, the design of the inlet manifold on the FG, Barra 195 motor looks to be much more efficient than the BA/BF.

After all, the BA/BF inlet manifold actually started life all the way back in the AU or maybe the EF/EL days didn't it?

on the FG inlet manifold, the shorter air pipe path from the air box to the throttle body and shorter pipes to the head all look great so I was wondering if one could be fitted and work on a BF engine.

They can be bought 2nd hand with the injectors and fuel rail plus throttle body on E bay pretty cheap.

I have no doubt one would bolt on, but what about the wiring and vacuum hoses etc, would the BF wiring connectors and hoses match.

The injectors should be OK because they should just plug in to the existing BF injector plugs.

Perhaps the BF throttle body could retro fit onto the FG inlet manifold if the FG one wouldn't work or the wiring harness didn't suit

But all of that said, if the FG inlet manifold and injectors and throttle body could fit and work, would there be any benefit over the BA/BF inlet manifold eg increased efficiencies such as throttle response? increase in Power & Torque and maybe better fuel economy?

Would anyone have a comment, or maybe someone has already done this or has had some experience?

I always though the move to the plastic manifold was for cheaper cost and lighter weight and not so much for performance.
It does have the dual short and long runner system control through vacuum manual tuning valve but you would have to have feature linked into your ECC to take advantage of it.

I would have thought the best advantage of this manifold would be to get the LPI version if you want to run LPG only.

They give a good boost but they work fundamentally different to the broadband manifold.
