Relative has damage to a 2007 Prado rear bumper. On one corner, really only cosmetic. Wreckers see an opportunity to cash in. Has anyone had positive experience with repair of similar damage. In this case repair would involve pressing out indent, welding tear and finishing.

My daughter let her Corolla roll down the drive into my towbar, punched a nice hole in her plastic bumper.
Got a guy out and he stitched it with a hot gun and staples, smoothed it over and painted it, came out awesome. About $300 from memory, and done at home.
