Default Its Time To Push The Limit

Hey people,
I haven't really been around for awhile, reason being, I have spent the last 8 out of 11 weeks in China. But I am back now and I think its time to push the limits of my little blue ute.

Its all set to run the times its spose to, so this week will see the end of the 12 second era for me, I hope. Here are some pics of the ute armed and ready.

See you's at the track.
Luke

At this stage I am going to Heathcote Sunday. More relax atmosphere, and plenty more runs.

Were you are Calder last Friday Craig, cos I saw the ACE White Ute in the Carpark???

Go Luke!!!!

Good luck mate, but careful with the n2o. It's very addictive to users and a little dangerous to pistons!! (Ask me how I know!)

Let us know how you go, 11's? low11's? a 10!!!! It's all in the bottle!!
Mooooohahahahahah

I'm sure there is a flashing beacon mounted on workhorse's PC. Every time anyone mentions NOS, it flashes and a warning buzzer starts beeping. You can almost see the grin creeping on to his face as he starts to type.

lol Two kinds of people in the world big fella; people that use nitrous and people that are yet to try it :

Workhorse,Yes it is all in the bottle and I have the 100, 125 and 150 jets sitting here, its just a matter of how much punishment my auto takes!

LUKE
Mmmm I killed a rebuilt shiftkitted C4 with a 100hp shot, burned up clutches. Ran a best of 12.9

Now have manual valve body, extra clutches, stage 3 shift kit, billet servo etc
125hp shot went 13.8>12.1 before I burned up a piston on a cold motor.

If your auto holds up 11's are more than doable.

Good luck mate, have fun :evilking:

I hope to join you next weekend, and rid them 12's for good, but without the bottle :

After last nights tuning session with Nitrous, I noticed that my auto temps where stable and there was no slipping with the gas on, I think we will find that my N/A time will drop heps on Sunday and then I will run with the gas.

I still need that 11 sec N/A timeslip XDCLEVO.

Yes no need to rush into the n2o Luke, plenty of time for that.

I believe your auto will be under more load when your ute is actually moving down the strip, as opposed to on the dyno, especially when changing gears.

When you try the n2o, I'd recommend not using the gas off the line for the first couple of passes. And coming off the button when changing gears, especially 2nd>3rd which is where a lot of people have trouble with C4's.

Once you have made some passes on and off the gas, may be then go for broke all the way. Just a suggestion, above all else, have fun! :evil3:

Hey Greg,

I pulled my C4 apart, realised it would take more of my undivided attention, than I could offer at the time, so I put it back together again and paid someone to do it for me. lol

But with the invaluable information you sent me (thanks again for that!), and having actually pulled a C4 apart, I at least knew what to ask for and what I was getting when paying someone else. Knowledge is power!

I told my trans guy what I wanted, a C4 that could handle 500hp and tow :.
He built me what he thought I needed, so it shifts very firmly, will cherp the tyres going into 3rd if I shift over 3000rpm.

The billet servo is over kill IMHO, but I could not tell the guy what parts to use and then expect a warrenty. It cost me $1200 and has taken everything I have thrown at it, so I am happy. Just have to keep the Rpm's low on gear changes when towing or risk ripping the drawbar off the trailer!

Its just a standard XD bonnet with a Hornet scoop on it. Hornet scoop costs about $100 and then you need to fit it and paint it.
