Hey guys I just bought an XR6 Turbo, and my previous ride was an older model XR6 N/A.
I had the Blue Power cold air induction installed by GenTech on my N/A, and boy it sounded tough and real loud! Before I sold it, I took off the entire CAI kit and put back on the stock one. Now I have installed the whole kit onto the Turbo, including drilling small holes to put the screws in so everything stays in place, and it all fit together perfectly, but the sound I am getting is different from when it was installed in the N/A. I don't get that loud pod filter growl. I just get a bit of a tough grumble sound along with all the woosh woosh wooshing sounds from the turbo. So, I was wondering if all this sounds alright, and if I have indeed installed it correctly, as I don't get that huge growl I did before with the N/A. Could there possible be a leak where its sucking up air from somewhere else and not through the pod filter? Thanks for any input! |
