Default Re: Fiat 500 Abarth Ferrari 695 Tributo - My review

Wretched,

Cheers mate for bringing something different to the forum! The Tributo Ferrari is definitely the sort of car that has and would grab my attention. I seriously seriously disagree with both it and the Tributo Maserati. Over $75k for a 500 is extortion no matter how you look at it. If he price was less, it would be a different story, it would be a ripper if it was a $5-10k jump in price over the Arbath SS. The essesse is a much better buy, for almost the same car... Almost!

Great review though. Interesting read, I agree with you on everything you have posted.

If you reckon the Golf R is like a go cart, then you'd be shocked at the Fiat.. A Golf R is a butterball compared to any other hot hatch on the market. I had a fully optioned R on order until 3 months into my order, I cancelled after driving a RenaultSport Megane 250 because it was so much more or a howling knee slapping ripper drive

Most people want to buy a Ferrari for street cred & I dont think this car gives that impression despite its performance.
Neale,

Im good friends with the sons of two older blokes who bought these and let me tell you, they did not buy them because they wanted a cut price Ferrari. They bought them because they already HAD Ferraris, and had the means to buy the 500 Tributo as an accessory...

They both have told me that according to Zagame's of Melbourne that apparently most buyers of the 500 TF seem to be coming from this demographic, interesting isn't it?
