Howdy, just lookin to take the GT for a drive on the weekend coming but it's unrego'd so I'm looking to get a day pass. Do I get it from the cop shop?? I'm in Adel btw.
I do understand that you have to determine the exact route & lucky for me I do have a place to visit down south. GT needs a run, we haven't spent too much time together lately :-(

Costs about $40 for an unregistered permit, thats for one day. You have to go to the Service SA rego offices to get one. For any extra days on top of the one, its an extra buck. Unless it has changed since July last year when i did this with my XD.

Doesn't an unregistered vehicle permit only allow you to drive the vehicle on a Monday to Friday 9-5, and only to a place to get the vehicle repaired?
Thats what I thought. In Vic anyways. |

you dont need insurance, or a proof of roadworthiness in sa.
our permits include the compulsary 3rd pp. can be used to take the car for an inspection, repairs etc or to move a vehicle, can also take your car to a show or similar all unregistered http://www.sa.gov.au/upload/entity/58/Forms/Mr%202.pdf
