Well it's nearly 2015 and we're supposed to have flying cars by now. This is intriguing to me because I like Ford's EcoBoost engines and I have decided to get into powered paragliding (as soon as I save up). This Parajet Skyrunner is a more expensive and less practical version of a powered paraglider, but I still think it's fascinating, and more true to the concept of a flying car.
http://www.fly-skyrunner.com/#top Performance Max. Road Speed: 185kph (115mph) 0-100kph (0-62mph): 4.3 secs Max. Air Speed: 88.5kph (55mph) Takeoff Speed: 59.5kph (37mph) Cruise Speed: 56.3kph (35mph) Max. Altitude: 15,000ft Restricted Altitude: 10,000ft Range: 321.8km (200miles) If anyone's wondering why only 55mph in the air, that's the maximum permitted by the FAA for ultralights. |
