We are considering purchasing one for the missus and trading her WP Zetec 8,000km. I have just driven one, sounds good, goes well and very impressive engineering with the roof.
Is there anything that we should be aware of and does anyone have any opinions? Cheers Baz

A freind of my wifes has one. She loves it, but at 40K + it would want to be good. It is the kind of car that someone would buy regardless of the pro's and con's. If your wife likes it, buy it.

The big downside is space. The boot is only good for a few groceries, but if that is not an issue, then go for it. The hardtop Cooper S is a blast to drive. I would have one in a flash (if it wasnt for the baby...)

Thanks for the replies, looking at the chilli option with 17's, chrome interior pack, extra gauges, alarm, auto rain and headlights, also comes with Harmon/Kardon 8 speaker 350w MP3 sound system, electric everything, 6 airbags, ABS, CDB, TCS and EBD Comes in at a tad over $60k
She has had a MX5 in the past, nice car, cheaper but underpowered and she want's something different
