If you can get your hands on September 2006 Volume 6 edition 7, Performance Fords Magazine, on the cover is the Autoking BA XR6T, with a scissor door kit on the front doors.

There should be pics of it floating around online somewhere...
EDIT - Few small pics here...

What??? So what about factory scissor doors? Are they gonna get defected too?

Was there an explanation of why there illegal? I'd be guessing it'd have something to do with emergency services if the car was in a crash.

Its a little bit different when a feature is fitted from the factory, as hundreds of hours of engineering R&D go into it, to ensure it meets all required ADRs.

What if you rolled your car and it stopped on the roof? Scissor doors wouldn't help then...

I don't think a $650,000 Lambo Murcielago, and a back yard modded Falcon are something to be compared, as far as the law is concerned.

I think the Policeman’s words were something to the effect of, "Hahahaha, those doors look like crap, here's a sticker", followed by : : etc...

I don't see regular doors opening in a hurry when your car is sitting on its roof either.

I am with Aeron, My mate had to do a scissor door conversion on the pioneer cars that he painted this year, it was on a 300Z... And i am pretty sure its illegal here because all the parts had to be imported from the U.S of A.
