Default Ford/FPV Marketing @ bathurst 2012

does anyone know if Ford are doing any form of marketing during this years Bathurst for the 50 years of Racing ?

My Suggestion is to run a ecoboost round the track and compare the times with a xy gtho or a xr8 (some kind of hero car) something a 'bit off the wall' like holden did a few years ago -

maybe im dreaming but i would love to see the big sleeping giant do something....anything to celebrate 50 years of Racing at our favourite event?? cmon FORD!!!

Doing that would require Fords marketing division to actually wake up on the job and actually work. Can't see that happening.

My picture of Fords marketing team is a bunch of stoners sitting around on the couch all day pulling bongs and playing x box.

why not have a eco race. i know it sounds boring but. put a 3L V6 commodore and that lpg commodore variant vs ford falcon lpi vs falcon ecoboost vs toyota camry hybrid over 3 laps. pretty sure the falcon lpi and ecoboost could easily blitz the other three!!

What about a comparo between the replica of the cortina that won the great race 50 years ago & the next years COTF.

That way we can really appreciate how far the cars have come.
