Ok guys, looking at the number of cars that are stolen nowadays and even having a car that i think is pretty hard to steal im looking at a vehicle tracking system. Any members on here have one or can recommend a decent one?
Thanks in advance.

Be careful with the Ebay one Dallas. The spec sheet does not include Australia and the bands supported are the Euro (1800)/North America(1900) and Latin America (850) GSM.
Australia uses WCDMA on 850 and LTE on 1800 with 1900 used for other purposes, our GSM/GPRS is 900.

With the amount of stuff rolling around in your head flappist, I am amazed you fit through doors.

One of my mates has one fitted to his VS Commodore, it has its own sim card with a number, you can call it to change modes, for example it has a microphone inside the car so you can hear what the people inside are doing, GPS co-ordinates which shows you on google maps, or remotely start/stop the car.

Someone suggested to me an iPhone with charger hard wired to the car and hidden in the boot somewhere so you can track your car.

Ezitrak micro are a high end tracker sold through Rojone Australia. They retail here for $799.
Info here http://www.ezitrak.com:8090/download...anual%20V2.pdf

Just purchased 2 of these units from a Canadian seller on Ebay for $48.00 each, shipping was $150. So $1600 local for 2 as apposed to $250 from the USA for 2. A no brainer.

The newest model is the Ezitrak Nano, this model has been pulled from sale due to bug issues.

You mean like Telstra sacking 200 Australians in Townsville and replacing them with much cheaper Filipinos or Gina Rheinhart wanting to import thousands of mine workers?

Yep no brains seems to be the Australian way lately.......

Check out SimTRAC, Australian owned company, not sure on price but work use them, very effective, has over speed, harsh breaking, acceleration cornering and a whole bunch of other parameters that could come in handy.

Only problem is you might have to use the SimPRO software
