well, Holden has .... Isn't commodore dead in 2017? Funny how all the ford bashers like to ignore that bit of info and instead concentrate on fords silence post 2016.

rubbish. show me where they have given model details post 2016. they have said they will keep manufacturing here, as have ford, but they are yet to release details of what they will build. holden also have quite a history of going back on their word.

Bob has said on at least one occasion they are committed to staying in australia.

there is a new falcon and territory coming in 2014.

despite all this, people still want them to come out with details post 2016 like that is normal procedure.

You misunderstood what I was saying....

I'm not disagreeing with your post, I was just saying the only manufacturer that's said anything about post 2016 is Holden, and that commodore is dead in its current form. But that seems to be being ignored by the haters, and media in favour of sinking the boot into ford over its silence.

The only part I disagree with is the new falcon and terri in 2014, it will be a facelift, albeit a major one, but still not a new falcon.

Just like VF will be an evolution of VE...gotcha.

Now, Cadillac is working on a 5 Series sized CTS on the new Alpha platform, that's a Commodore sized vehicle
and if that car could be suitably reskinned as a Commodore then perhaps the costs would make it doable for Australia..

Closed nothing new being added for a 2016 Falcon, instead like most threads we turn them into a Holden story and start debating red v blue.

My suggestion is lets get on with looking for the news on the 2014 Falcon this is the car we as Ford enthusiasts should be our focus of discussion.
