BA : Angular with indicator/ reverse light on lower part of lens
VX: rounded with indicator/ reverse on top. Not similar.

Yes, me too but maybe the similarity will keep the SZ fresh for longer and give dealers another angle lol.

It's such a standard design shape, there's no way LR copied the Territory.

That's really a big push saying they're similar.

Yeah they both have the reverse on the bottom, and yeah the top is longer than the bottom length, but that's it really.

Same kick at the side into the white lower part, same wraparound shape. Pretty similar I reckon.

They're both bolted to red cars too bahaha
Sorry lol but yeah they're similar, but with that many cars designed and built over the years there's got to be similarities popping up occasionally
And the two designers probably went to the same design school lol

How many cars have the basic up down rectangle taillight style.
Guess that's all plagiarism.

I couldn't tell the difference between the Range Rover and Territory, Range Rover even copied the rear bar! I bet they even stole the drive train.

Before you jump the gun just remember the Territory's tailllights are a copy of the Explorer's, which was released a year or so before SZ Territory.

Exactly, it was all plagiarism.
Ford first came up with that up down rectangle style in 1979 with the XD ute.

I'd like to see more bright work on the tail of the Terry Titanium, the SX/SX chrome strip was more upmarket looking.

It's the overall shape and styling that's important here, predating RRS and SZ Territory by a fair margin..
You can bet that it was a corporate styling initiative that was extended to J/LR on a limited basis,
more in the form of market research of what target groups liked in clinics..
