GTF Auction for charity starts in 7 days.
There is 7 min video link in the ebay campaign. http://stores.ebay.com.au/BidsForGood/GTFAuction Bidding for two of Ford’s most collectible cars opens at 8pm on Sunday 17th August and finishes on Sunday 24th August at 8pm. With your support, Ford will help the National Breast Cancer Foundation move closer towards achieving its goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030. Good job Ford for donating these 2 cars, its sure to raise a vast some of money..

Blue is for Prostate Cancer.....
More Deaths and More People have Prostate Cancer than Breast Cancer It's a Tuff Man Car...... To me Breast Cancer receives a huge amount of support everywhere and it is starting to be a bit one sided. Ford Blue - GTF Blue - Prostate Cancer Blue would be more appropriate in this instance. I am not being morbid, it is just how I see it ALTHOUGH I am willing to be proven wrong................ They should advertise this more than having the auction start in 7 days............

Number 500 is a significant number being the last. The final Monaro fetched a good price, so I'm thinking closer to $150k.

200k minimum, I'm thinking?
All would be tax deductable if it's a recognised charity..

Although I think Ford Aus should be keeping #500 for their archives/museums but up to them. Tax deductible? I don't think so. You're recieving a 'good' for your 'donation'. I'd love to own #1. Having your actual car photographed, videoed and documented in all forms of media at the launch is priceless. I actually think it'll be very close in price to #500 for that reason.

I'll go out on a limb here with the final price for #500. Last ever GT Falcon - I reckon she'll fetch about $320K.

More men get cancer than women, prostate cancer is significantly more common than breast cancer, and in total bowel cancer is also more common. Don't get me wrong, I lost my Mum and Dad to cancer, all but one of my uncles, and my brother in law. Not ONE to breast cancer. One car each to Breast & Prostate cancer would seem more balanced?

Guys if you want to start a discussion about what color is associated to what ever charity start your own thread in the appropriate area.
Having a guess on what they will go for will keep the interest going.. 001 $175,000 500 $200,000

The rear wheels have travelled 6300km but the car itself has probably only done 500.

No - I mean GT Falcon. It's only really people like us that know them as an FPV GT.
To Joe Public or Corporate Clem out there who is looking for a promotional opportunity by buying the last one and commercially exploiting its star quality, it's the last GT Falcon - and that's why I reckon it'll go for huge money. Just my thoughts though. Russ |
