Gm might be bringing the Cadillac CTS-V.
Or some other sedan built on the alpha platform. So we will see.

Either some sort of American muscle a Ford Mustang or Dodge Challenger (but not a GM product)

Or a 2nd hand late model (or new if all is going well) Porsche Cayman.

An electric solar powered one for city driving!
With solar panels on my roof to charge them and therefore no costs to cruise around other than state taxes

I will be buying an FH XR8 at the end of this year.

So unless I want the leader of the opposition to divorce me after spending so much on "just a car" I'll be holding on to it for many, many years to come. 10 yrs at least.

After that, don't know. Will have to see what performance cars are around.

That's a really good point! Maybe my next car will be a battery bank...

Wonder if Ford can bring a small electric commuter to market better than anyone else? Apart from state taxes (and insurance) that would save real money for most urban people.

prob stick the turbo in the shed and drive it on weekends and by a second hand runner for the misses to get to work in thats half decent for about 5 or 6 grand,
pref something easier to work on and cheap to run, wouldnt care what it is...she prob will, but i wont
ill keep driving the xh ute for work etc till it dies, then get either the motor replaced or rebuilt
its only done 180 thou so by 2017 ill be lucky to have hit 220 thou
the xb will either get sold to pay for our wedding or it'll still be sitting in the shed in 2017
either or not fussed

And while you are pondering the future - think about these questions and answer whatever you like............

* Would you consider an 'imported' similar equivalent to the Falcon or Commodore?
Yes. Mondeo. I'm pretty much set on buying the next Mondeo (in Titanium Ecoboost trim) as my next car.

Personally, I'll be sticking with Ford. They have a fantastic range of products aside from Falcon and Territory, and although they'll be missed, from where I'm sitting they're far from irreplaceable.

Camry Hybrid.

Toyota may not be making them in Australia any more, but there has yet to be any announcements as to the cessation of the Camry line. I'm quite sure that they'll still be here, albeit imported.

Right now I love my BF too much to part with it. I'm going to have to see what the Mondeo is like before making the decision on whether to keep the BF or buy the new Mondeo. The new Mondeo is such a sexy car that it's quite irresistible for me, though.

I used to follow the Australian Touring Car Championship. I haven't followed it since it became 'V8 Supercars' - it became just a shell of its former self. So in short, I couldn't give two hoots about it.

I've been a Formula 1 fan since 1994. That's where the entirety of my motor racing interest lies now.

Have some performance options too, but available in small numbers.

Great looking vehicle.
It sure is a good looking car, and it is coming here as the Mondeo in hatch and wagon forms - both of which, in my view, are more practical than a sedan.

I'll be driving second hand Falcon variants for as long as I can, should buy me at least another 15-20 years.
