Well well, whats going on here !!! Ford's mangement appears to be about 5 years ahead of Holden in planning for a car that fits what the market want. An economical big bodied car ie, Falcon Ecoboost. Could Ford be bedding down the Ecoboost in the Falcon architecture ready for a market leading product launch with the next model Falcon?
To my way of thinking stick some trinkets in the Falcon to bring it up to world standard and they would have a great export product potentially. Anyway FoA aren't asleep at the wheel as some scribes would have you believe http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/holden...-1226554002811 |

Conversely, whenever a Ford article comes up, its about how much money theyve already been given & how it was a waste.... |

Well if Holden is canning the Commodore (well on a RWD car) after 2017, could Ford hold out long enough with the Falcon, and then be the only RWD sedan of that size in it's price range?
They probably could if the update is 2014, that would only be 3 years into the next model cycle. Food for thought. |

Falcon doesn't need Commodore. It does need something else produced locally so that local suppliers can get economies of scale.
Holden have a commitment to make something, so that's all Falcon needs. Not Commodore. Lukeyson
