crazy stuff, guy in a Range Rover apparently drove through a crowd of motorbikes as it fled with its family inside for fear of being attacked.

Who said bikies are only a problem on the Gold Coast?
On the serious side, I don't know what started the attack. The video starts off with a motorcyclist brake testing the Range Rover. Afterwards the car is seen running over a pack of bikes and speeding off. Whether something provoked the rider into brake testing him or not, we will never know. |

I would love to know what actually started this . As I can easily see both sides depending on the circumstances . Wasn't the guy brake testing him behind the door when brains were handed out . I know I'll use my 150 kilo bike to brake test a 2 tonne car , that'll work , what could possibly go wrong ?

Hopefully the lawyers of the guy in the Range Rover get the above video.
More irrefutable proof that the driver was in the right. |

I have been reading about this since early yesterday morning, the thousands of bikers were on an illegal ride, they were cranky that they couldn't do what they wanted to do, there was a lot of frustration built up, apparently the Range Rover was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and may have upset one of the riders, but then mob mentality kicked in and all **** broke loose.
They punctured the tyres of the RR, he kept driving fearing for the life of his wife and daughter, many of the Americans believe he should have pulled a gun - LOL |

Just after posting this I looked at Trevors post and watched Pottery Beiges link . On balance it would appear these ********* gather on a regular basis to terrorise motorists for the hell of it . The photo showing the injured guy wearing a Nazi helmet which pretty much says it all for me . There is still no concrte proof just how this started sadly . This is the very reason I have a camera in my car .

looks like the rage started after he did a hit and run(bike was in the wrong)hit and run is against the law.when I was in the state's if you had a prang even a minor one you would not even move your car till the cop's arrived even if blocking a major freeway(oh yeah I've been riding for over 40 years the biker did a dumb thing)

Humans can be stupid. When motoring its advisable to assume the other motorist is a nutter and to not provoke him, especially if youre in a smaller vehicle.

It would seem the bikers can wear most of the blame for starting this one, if you put a family in fear for their lives, it is a fair bet some people are going to react accordingly.

RR driver did pull up, but they started to damage his car. Like I said I'd do the same but I'd be aiming for the ****s. And I have ridding bikes all my life and know how cage drivers are, but clearly it was the bikes fault.

Horrific scenario, no winners in this situation.
There is no "right thing" in this situation. What ever party started the incident, I hope they think the outcome was worth it. If the biker(s) were responsible, no matter how injured they were, those involved in the actual assault will be spending a good part of the next 20 years behind bars in the US, if it's their 3rd major offence then they may never see freedom again. Lots of community outrage from what I hear from family in NYC. 99% of it against the riders. Very few facts still. Just opinions and speculation, but the community is out for justice/blood. The public prosecutor will be under extreme pressure for a extreme penalty.

According to the liveleak report they wanted to close that section of highway off for themselves by closing multiple on ramps, and have done so a few times before, and this car was just caught up in it all. Did nothing wrong until some numb nuts brake tested him and he clipped them.
No sympathy what so ever for the injured. Their lucky it didn't end with a 9mm to the face. (It is the US after all)

Seems like an example of what goes wrong when people don't observe proper lane discipline. I suspect the people in the middle and left lanes weren't trying to overtake and then return to the right lane...
Is keep right unless overtaking a thing in the US or NY state? |

What a bunch of clowns. Difficult to prosecute the Range Rover driver, especially given what the video shows. Also, from around the news networks many other videos are emerging of this motorcycle group on the day they took on a range rover and lost, and these guys are notorious trouble makers.
Hope the kid was OK and now Range Rover have a new material for an ad: Range Rover conquers mountains, rivers, motorbikes.
