If it hasn't been released by now, I don't see how they can justify the money for a model which will only account for approximately 5,000 sales between now and 2017.

There isn't going to be one. Caprice got the new interior I think? But there is no money or market for any new panels.

The WN is just an VF interior upgrade. But it is the only way you get xenons on any locally made commodore based car.

You can get them for 55k drive away if you shop around. Feature packed with all the VF features plus a sunroof. The only thing they don't get are DRL's.

Doesn't the Caprice V get a heads up display that the Calais doesn't?
I heard a major reason for not updating sheet metal was crash compliance for the US police cars. As it was a relatively new model there, and they export more than they sell here they kept the externals the same. Might just be an excuse but seems a reasonable explanation. I agree they are a nice rig and good value with the spec that they have in them. |

The Caprice V6 is also the old 3.6 dedicated LPG version now. No HO SIDI. Have a look on their website. That says a lot about its intended purpose, ie fleet/taxi/hire customers.

Ive posted before that I very much disliked the rear end of the VF. However theres a few ssv's in my town now and following one the other day and compared it to the rear of other carts I decided it emitted a look of quality and I quite like it. Time always seems to change things you don't know into a positive later on.

Took a spin in a mates few day old Caprice today, leather everywhere, HUD, gadgets everywhere, very quality feel. Seating is awesome (I'm on a FG seat spitefest at the moment internally). Had the Walkinshaw exhaust, sounded wicked, very smooth, crisp shifts. Sweet ride for the $. Very sweet (silver on black powdercoated wheels).

While I still think the Caprice looks good for it's intended market, I'm surprised it doesn't use the VF Calais front end.

The WN Caprice also received the VF Calais V wheels in addition to interior.
I always found the small rear boot lid funny when the WM was released, when you compare it to previous and the Fairlane/LTD boot lid size.
