Perfect bunch of gifts for my 6yo.

Then the same night I bid on another tub of Lego on a local auction site. Spent a bit more but theres at least another 25 sets.

Hope my boy doesn't lose interest in Lego anytime soon!
Do you contact Lego and get any missing pieces?

My 6yo won't mind. Anything minor I can replace from the existing random bits we have.
Plus he'll build the set, play for a bit, then start modifying it, then break it apart and build something else etc.
It will eventually all end up in pieces anyway.

CB I take it they didn't blend the guard through the door and just went edge to edge.

New paint on the whole offside plus bonnet. They missed a small bruise on the quarter but overall it’s not too bad considering how it looked in December. Price was very amenable.

Happy enough; unlike most of my family I’m not one drawn to negatives.

Looking forward to them working up the E46 hinge pillar in a few weeks.

Workshop is “good busy”. It’s been up and down for a while due to various reasons, but hopefully gains are being incrementally consolidated. By 6:30 this morning, already three cars dropped off, and there’s another two or three in the diary. Apprentice worked 13 hours yesterday.

After parking my $2k shitbox at the airport, walking past all the 6 figure financed FIFO golden handcuffs exposed to the elements and careless people slamming their doors into the side of them.

Is this an insurance job CB or are you paying for repair out of your own pocket?

AAMI paid me out as a total loss less salvage and rego, after their insured party hit me down the offside in December. So I funded the repair out of that settlement. There was enough fat in it at private vs insurance prices, to renew the bonnet - which had never been right before. I also took on the mechanical/electrical/trim R&R to save money.

My little boy had a vet checkup yesterday, which left me $630 lighter after blood tests for his anti-seizure meds.

But...................as soon as we walked in the door till the moment we left, he had entire room besotted and became the centre of attention for the staff and those in the waiting room. He may be an old man now, but he still looks as adorable as the day we met.

Heck yeah!

I couldn't begin to tally how much I've spent on this guy, two major surgeries and constant medication since he was about 3, it would be easily over $20K! I complain, but it's meaningless to me, his company is priceless.

My young bloke has gotten into diet and being fit and healthy, no complaints about that at all. He is in year 10, works at maccas and lives with his mum. I haven't eaten maccas in years, but even with his staff discount, its pretty expensive. But he is on the health drive, so none of that. So our daily conversation is partially about healthy food thats not overly expensive. Stuff like using honey as opposed to sugar to make weet bix less booring and stuff like that.
Ive been telling him for a while my quick and easy go to is gnocchi. Today i sent him a pick of the nutrition numbers off the back of a 500g pack that only stings you $2.50.
So >1% fat, >1% sugar. The other numbers i dont look at, but he was kind of impressed as to him it looks like the numbers of carbs and calories and whatever that all means works for him, also cheap. Yes you have to add stuff to make it taste more then starch, but he is only allergic to bananas, tomatos and nuts. He has options.
