BA/BF Falcon brake hose recall

For anyone who hasn't heard yet:

29/05/07 BA/BF Falcon brake hose recall

While not classed as an official recall, Ford have announced a service bulletin that enables owners of the BA/BF Falcon to have a possible brake line fault checked and if necessary, fixed at their local Ford dealer for free.

The brake line fault is not a common fault but if it occurs may cause the rear brake hose to wear excessively and cause a loss in brake pressure. It could potentially affect 0.5 percent of BA/BF Falcons.

According to Ford, the loss in brake pressure may trigger the vehicles' on board warning systems, so a quick trip to your Ford dealer is advised.

HEY GUYS JUST LETTING YOU KNOW I HAD KLOSTERS DO MINE AND AFTER I LEFT GOT TO BRANXTON I HAD TO BRAKE REAL HARD TO AVOID A BAD SMASH TO MY SHOCK NO BRAKES COMPLETE FAILURE THANKS KLOSTERS AND THANKS FOR CHANGING A BRAKE BOOSTER THAT WAS NOT BROKEN PROBLEM STILL NOT SOLVED BARRISTER LOOKING AFTER IT NOW JUST BE CAREFULL GUYS THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED ASAP BY FORD...

If you have a ute, the utes don't have to have the brake lines checked because of the solid axle......

I took my 05 build BF to have a small warrenty job done and they said there was a recall on the rear brake hoses. I said I thought they fixed that problem on the BA but was told no, it is still occouring. Apparently they replaced my hoses but with no paper work and not looking under the car, I do not know for sure what was done.
