With a bit of luck I should make it down to next wednesdays street racing at the motorplex in the XT

Good luck !
It 's a blast for the first time. Nerves will be a jittering, blood pressure right up there. As soon as you see the orange light, hit the gas and drag the brake (if it's an auto stall her up) off the line a little and shift when "you think it's right" The next 40 times or so of practice, you'll end up getting a 400/460 reaction time and you will learn from there. Best advice IMHO, don't go there to win first up, go there to have FUN! It is a VERY ADICTIVE sport as quite a few members here will tell you

Relax, take it easy first few times, have fun and agree with above, very addictive and cheaper than circuit/hill climb stuff.
