Once these are gone that is it. Although they are listed as demo and used, the listed mileage means they are as good as brand new. Who will be the lucky buyers?

That XR8 would be a bit pricey wouldn,t it. Probably already 2 years old so most of the warranty is already gone, and probably had plenty of cold start flogs down the road.

The warranty period starts from date of purchase.

If I purchased one of these cars I would insist that it is covered for the full 3 year/100,000km. Any car which has less than 150km on the odo is still a new car in my opinion.

The warranty is not a negotiable item. You could extend it for another 3 years and/or 100,000k though - at a cost to either yourself or the dealer (who will only pass the cost onto you anyway).

If it's a demo and never been privately registerd (that is, has only been a demo for the Ford dealer) then warranty starts the minute you drive it out, even if it's 2 years old.
However the Km is still what's showing on the speedo, so if it's already done 5k then only has 95k left.

The XR8 is registered so the warranty has started.

Damn it. This has spured my interest, I've sent an inquiry to one of the dealers.

Now ya dunnit !!!!....I'm shorting out and dribbling and drooling all over the keyboard and wishing the Tattslotto numbers had come in last night . About the only way I could latch on to most of these beauties .
They may be those who look at these as "only a Falcon" , they may lack the tech features of some of their rivals , they may have been built two years ago but bloody oath they're a highly desirable bit of kit to state the least and the blooming obvious to the true Blue Oval enthusiast . |

Wow ... $90K for an unloved V8 Falcon. Considering the dealer is paying around $5K-8K in interest per year just to keep that car on the floor, they have probably done their money already on the car. Nope ... cannot see the value in that, even if it is a bit of Australian automotive history. Everyone else has moved on.

I have been watching the listed victory gold xr6 sprint for ages ...
One day I expect to see it gone .... its over 500 km away from me but in this day and age I am sure a phone call and a deposit would see it shipped .... lol
