Wow I never thought Ford would get back into performance in such a big way, and leveraging off their involvement in Supercars!

Good news, though if it was some crappy SUV in the most flooded market, Ford Australia would have made sure to get it here and in our market yesterday so it could sell 300 cars a month rather than taking so many years to respond to a large hole in the market like they have with this example

Good news. Nothing like kicking the opposition while they're down.
Mind you, sooner or later, I'm sure HSV/Walkinshaw will come up with a s/c option for Camaro. |

Imagine the empty feeling in the stomach of those who've just dropped 90k on a Camaro right about now.
I never thought i'd say it again, but the timing of this is genius Ford Motor Company, pure genius. |

The people who are buying Camaro are because they want a Camaro, it doesn't make sense from a market perspective as the Mustang isn't some chopped up conversion being factory RHD and cheaper, but it does from a 'I always wanted a Camaro' perspective.

Just like the majority of HSV drivers would not consider an FPV. The Camaro will always have its following IMO. |

While Ford is in a generous mood, I hope they also get PP2 sport pack with big tyres approved,
that would be a great move to enable even more sales on top of a blown Mustang... |

It's funny though that I have not seen any heavy modded Mustangs given how many of them are around but this is a good option for people now.
As for Camaros, I have seen 4 now including today so obviously they are selling and they don't seem disappointed despite the only mod being a $30k RHD option so I doubt they will care about this |

Those that can afford to go to Herrod's and shell out $20K plus on a supercharger package, are often fairly well heeled and have other daily drivers in their stable. I see quite a few at my Mustang club on cruises, and I shudder at what some of them have spent on mods. Vented scoop bonnet hoods for $3,000, full exhausts for $5,000, wheels for $4,000, steering wheels at $700 and the list goes on. |

I suppose it wouldn't be such a stretch to say that many Mustang owners also have Falcon though too having said that. |

Bump.
Any news of the factory equipped blowers? Talking to my local dealer they said they are coming and it will work like other dealer fitted options such as window tint and tow bars and maintains the 5 year warranty from ford What are they waiting for?? |

I tell you what every second post on Facebook in the past 6 months I've read is about the availability of some supercharged version of the Mustang from different sources whether it be a GT500 from Mustang Motorsport, who supposedly have an exclusive license to use the Shelby name in Australia. Then Herrod . Now because they are Australia's only Ford Performance dealer, and FP develop the Shelby vehicles, wouldn't Herrod have exclusive rights and not Mustang Motorsport? Then the $180k Roush Jackhammer from some other mob. Is it just me or is everyone else bloody confused too??
Herrod is a trusted name and if they are building it it's gotta be good.

They're not.

I'm also reminded of the spectacular failure of Ford's last attempt to modify imported Mustangs It also said something about dealers selling Roush kits from the states??? Yeah nah, not sure I would trust the yokels at a dealership with something like that. Why don't they just make RHD versions of the Shelby and Roush cars and export those. |

Dealerships near me have been doing S/C kits and have been honouring warranties on the Mustang since they were introduced.

Local Ford dealer has been fitting Harrop superchargers for a while. They sent their Mustang guys to Harrop for training. Particularly popular with FM, not so much with FN as it has more power to begin with.
