Default 888 Fan Day

Once again, another fantastic day and a big turnout for the club. A Great time had by all I suspect. Heres a couple of Piccys of the day. Take special note of Rob and myself winning the first round of the Pit Stop Challenge.

Cheers
Jeff

Awesome, thanx for that. By the way did anyone take note of any fast times in the v8 supercars simulator, I posted the fastest time of 1.58 when the target was 2.05 before i left. It was an easily achievable time so i doubt it stayed un beaten, i lost out as russel ingalls car slammed the brakes on and i hit him losing all my steering on the first lap haha.

Hey Jeff, I heard that you and Rob did fabulously – Well Done.

But in my mind this raises some intriguing questions… If you make such a hot pit crew, Why are you always so reluctant to attend to my car’s housekeeping issues when I ask you? If you are as good with a bucket of soapy water and a chamois as you are with a rattle gun then surely you should share this skill with your fellow clubbies – namely ME?! I just don’t understand?? used: :P

I still have the phoon umbrella hostage in my boot although after the escapades of this weekend I should check it is still in one piece…

Cheers, Tori :newangel:

Soapy water gives me dishpan hands and I cant have smooth hands now, can I, how would I hold onto a rattle gun with smooth silky hands.

What a GREAT DAY!
One of the best days we have had all week (except for the flies and a bit hot).Great turnout from our club as well as every Ford hnown to Man. Lucky Rod (Rolling Jaffa) winning the Hot laps on the day.

Just ask Craig Lowndes what he thought of the Day!

I think THAT says it ALL!

Default Pit crew Challenge

Well thanks to me, Gavin and I were the first of the xr team excluded : , Sorry Gav, need a whole lot more practice with that gun, Don't think they will be calling me to fill any vacant positions by todays form. Not to worry, it was an excellent day.

I can not let it pass without commenting just what a great ambassador Craig Lowndes is to the sport, all five of our kids lined up for over two hours to get his signature, he did that and more taking the time to speak to them have his photo taken for the millionth time today and all with his trademark smile, top class, true professional, and by the looks of it a really nice person.

What a wonderfull presentation of cars the club had, showed our presence to all the clubs. I think there were nearly as many xr clubbies as flies, and we looked better (the cars that is, not necessarly the drivers)

:baby bott Catch you all at the Christmas Party :baby bott

G'day All,

I will start by thanking each and every Clubbie that attended the day, the way you always present your cars and represent the Club is a credit to all of you. The management at Triple 8 were nothing short of gobsmacked by your pride and professionalism. They also would like me to pass on their many thanks.

Yes it was hot and the flies were a little on the friendly side but what a great day. Plenty to do and see and I am sure that the plastics copped a hiding as well. It shouldn't be too hard to spot a Clubbie at the track next year, they will be the ones decked out in 888 gear from head to toe.

It was a good day for the Club as well as we handed out approx 35 membership forms so our ranks should be full of newbies first up next year.

Finally I would like to thank all those that stayed behind well past closing time to assist in pulling down the big marque. Your efforts never goes unnoticed.

Cheers,

Ken

Talking Top Day

Hi Guys
We had a top day on Sunday. The guys who were working for me out there were impressed by the XR club and commented on the quality of the cars. Sadly I did not get a ride in Lowndesy car, however I did score a ride with Adam Macrow in the blue XR6 Turbo. It was my first ride in a Turbo and I must admit that I was very impressed indeed. The odd power slide and all.
Mark your calanders for next year as a little birdy told me it would all be on again on the 17th of December 2006.
I also have to comment on what nice people the 888 guys and girls all are. They treated my volunteers like they were part of the team for the day.
As for Criag and Natalie Lowndes, what can you say, they are the friendliest and genuine people I have met. The autograph sessions went forever and they just stayed there smiling and having photos taken until the last person was happy. I know who I will be waving my Ford flag for next season.
As soon as I can work out how to shrink it I will post the pic of Craig and Jamie with my car.

Good to see you up here in the heat of sunny Brisbane I mean Ipswich where the flies out number the men by 500 to 1

Have a good christmas you and Marie and I might see you over the break I will be heading down south again for a cold beer or 3 at the Mt Annan pub :
